Custom Art Experiences
Create 1-on-1 with
Professional Artists
Kids & Art Foundation hosts customized art experiences that help ease the added stress, anxiety, and trauma a child is experiencing during treatment due to relapse, long hospitalization, or other serious circumstances. These art experiences can take the form of individualized online workshops with a professional artist, programs for a child’s classroom or community group, or family creative sessions in which legacy pieces are created for a patient in hospice.
Examples of Custom Art Experiences
Individualized Online Art Workshops
Individualized art workshops with a professional artist are tailored for patients who must remain in isolation during treatment. Held on Zoom, the patient gets to choose the painting’s subject in advance, and all materials will be mailed to them before the workshop. The patient can also participate from their hospital room.
Family Hospice/Bereavement Workshops
Led by a professional artist, this experience aims to create a legacy piece honoring the patient. ArtKits can also be sent to family members to provide them with quiet, calming activities to work on during this stressful time.

Volunteer artist
I enjoyed my 1-on-1 sessions with the young artist. We met on Zoom and worked on painting a gerbera daisy. In each session, we had fun together, where we painted, laughed, made mistakes, and laughed some more. She asked clarifying questions and I learned from her as much as she did from me.
AYA survivor
My favorite part about creating art is that I can be free with my feelings and just put it on my art piece. It’s also a way to make people happy.
