Custom Art Experiences For Patient Families

Custom Art Experiences

Create 1-on-1 with
Professional Artists

Kids & Art Foundation hosts customized art experiences that help ease the added stress, anxiety, and trauma a child is experiencing during treatment due to relapse, long hospitalization, or other serious circumstances. These art experiences can take the form of individualized online workshops with a professional artist, programs for a child’s classroom or community group, or family creative sessions where legacy pieces are made for a patient in hospice.

Examples of Custom Art Experiences

Individualized Online Art Workshops

Individualized art workshops for a patient with a professional artist, held on Zoom. The patient gets to choose the subject of the painting ahead of time, and all materials will be mailed to them before the workshop. The patient can participate from their room at the hospital or at home.

Schools/Community Group Workshops

Collaborative art workshops for a patient, their classmates and friends, and a professional artist. Participants will each complete a small piece of art which will be combined into a larger canvas. The patient gets to choose the subject of the artwork ahead of time and all materials will be provided.

Family Hospice/Bereavement Workshops

Individualized online art workshops for family members in a hospice or bereavement situation. Led by a professional artist, the intention of this experience is to create a legacy piece to honor the patient. ArtKits can also be sent to family members to give them some quiet and calm activities to work on during this stressful time.
