Youth (Kids/Teens/AYA)
Yes, we understand that sometimes patients don’t feel up to actively participating in our online workshops so it is fine to participate with your screen off. If you have questions, you can type them into the workshop chat. Remember, you will need to sign up ahead of time to get the workshop link.
Yes, please do, we love to create art experiences based on participant interests. Please contact us at programs@kidsandart.org and we can set up a time to chat.
Parents/Caregivers
Yes, siblings are an integral part of our program. Let us know when you register for any of our workshops and our program manager will reach out to you if they need more clarifications.
Currently all our destinations and online workshops are open for families touched by cancer and other critical medical conditions. Please note, the Artist-in-Residence program is based on a particular hospital/care center's patient population.
Our goal with the workshops is to build community whether it is online or in person. We have many caregivers on our team and the Board and thanks to them our team artists and volunteers are trained on the nuances of the diagnoses, side effects, challenges, and do’s and don’ts.
We have a media release form that all our parents, volunteers, and artists sign. Photographs from workshops help us create positive testimonials to share with our donors. Since all our workshops are free and paid for by grants, corporations, or individual donors, photographs help us make a case for funding.
Our patient, survivor, and sibling participants range in age from 4 to 34. Sometimes younger siblings join us, as well as older family members. We welcome all ages!
Healthcare Professionals

Our Program Manager is your main contact. Reach out and let them know how they can best support you and your patient families. We have online art workshops, hands-on in person art workshops for Bay Area patients, @Home ArtKits for patients in active treatment, and a referral-based program for families in hospice and in bereavement.

Kids & Art is known for being innovative and finding new solutions to the ever changing needs of our families. This year our sponsorship offerings will not just be tied to a single event, but instead will be year-long, and supportive of multiple events throughout the year. We consider our sponsors our partners, and in doing so we can provide a wide range of customized opportunities to meet both our needs. Sponsorship of Kids & Art makes it possible for you to reach a new audience, demonstrate your commitment to the healing power of arts and creativity, and engage and support the local community. The end goal – our families get the creative art programs and support they deserve at no-cost. For more information on sponsorships contact partnerships@kidsandart.org
