This is a question that a lot of people in the art and science world are trying to address. Not only has Kids &Art conducted research of our own, we have compiled a list of articles, research papers, and videos that shed some light on the benefits of healing through art.

Kids & Art Foundation Research

Completed in 2021, Kids & Art undertook a three-year research initiative in an effort to develop evidence-based creative art services. 

Our research report identifies areas of need, services that would be helpful, and the benefits of meaningful engagement in art for pediatric cancer patients.  The findings  have guided the thoughtful and intentional development and implementation of new Kids & Art  programming.  Read the report > 

UK Survey Reveals Art Therapy May Be Helpful to Cancer Patients

A survey was published in 2013 that reported that 92% of adult sufferers of cancer who engaged in art therapy found it helpful. They agreed that art therapy has helped them cope with the effects of cancer, while improving their communication skills, and helping them express their feelings.
